Sabra Sommer Lien died at home in Mukwonago, WI on Christmas Day, 2019 as a result of cancer.
Sabra was born in Appleton, WI on June 20, 1961 to Eldor John and Patricia Lee (nee James) Sommer. She was baptized July 9, 1961 by Rev. John H. Lucht DD and was confirmed in 1975 at Zion Lutheran Church, Fremont, WI. She lived in Appleton until 1966 when the family moved to a small farm in rural Fremont, where she grew up with her sisters, Alisa and Sara, and brother Justin. She enjoyed country life, including all the many animals and pets! She loved school and attended Readfield Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Washington Jr. High and graduated from New London High School June 8, 1979, where she made many lifelong and dear friends. Graduated from UW Stout on May 14, 1983, Cum Laude with a BS in Clothing, Textiles and Design. Utilizing her excellent skills and knowledge worked at Jack Winter, JH Collectibles and Kohl’s Corporate, as Business Analyst, Marketing Specialist and in Project Management, traveling all over the world. Married to Todd Michael Lien on May 13, 1989 in Elm Grove, WI.
She leaves behind her two sisters, Alisa (Peter) Rumpit and their children, Connor, Braden and Soleil, Brookfield, WI; Sara (Joseph) DeFuria, and their children, Jack and Adrienne, Randolph, NJ; brother Justin Katy (nee Bellile) Sommer, and their children, Kylee and Luke, Whitefish Bay, WI; mother and father, Patricia (nee James) and Eldor Sommer; three aunts, Helen Meir, Margaret Spice and LaVerne Sommer. Further survived by her husband Todd, Mark and Marly Lein, Eric and Dawn Lien and their children and Jeff and Darcy Lien and their children. Also survived by dear countless friends, cousins and their spouses; she loved them all, also co-workers and those she met along the way. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Howard Joel James and Lottie Edith (nee Heimbruch) James; paternal grandparents, Ernest William Albert Sommer and Ruth Clara (nee Schroeder) Sommer; aunts and uncles: Joel John James, Arthur, Clarence and Walter Sommer, Henry Meier, Larry Spice, Elverna and Wilber Drews, Louise and Delvin Spiegelberg and infant Velma Sommer. Also, by father and mother-in-law, Basil and Elaine Lien.

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10, 2020 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Prairie, WI.
