Ruth Esther (Seelig) Wroblewski, age 103 of New London, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at her residence.
Ruth was born on April 10, 1917 to the late Albert and August (Schmidt) Seelig on their farm in the Town of Little Wolf near Manawa. Ruth was an active member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London and was involved with PCCW as a lector. She was united in marriage to Victor Wroblewski on April 26, 1941 at St. Mary Magdalene in Waupaca. She enjoyed bingo, traveling, fishing, reading, and being with people. Ruth worked 25 years for Red Owl in Neenah. She retired in 1994 and moved to New London.
Ruth is survived by many lifelong friends; nieces and nephews, Steve (Connie) Wisneski, Alan (Barbara) Wisneski, Michael (Diane) Wisneski, James (Pat) Wisneski and Marilyn (Jerry) Treichel; many nieces and nephews and special friends who cared for her, Dave and Ruth Rex and Peggy Hobbs. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Victor (1996); an infant brother, Walter; sisters, Hildegard (Arthur) Patri and Anita (Clarence) Wisneski; special nieces, Judy Doughty, Carole (Hubert) Rikard and Shirley A. Mielke.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Masks will be required and social distancing enforced. Burial will be in Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf. Most Precious Blood Church will live stream the funeral mass on their Facebook page. The service will be recorded and a link put on our website. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
