Willard “Bill” W. Nohr, age 88, of Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, WI.
He was born on July 1, 1933 in Waupaca, WI, son of the late Benjamin J. and Pauline (Sarnowski) Nohr. Bill was united in marriage to Carol M. Simon on June 28, 1958 in Wild Rose. He joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. After his time in the service, Bill worked as a dye caster for Speed Queen in Omro for 44 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Bill enjoyed hunting and boating, and even waterskied on his 80th birthday!
Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carol Nohr; two daughters, Pamela (Mike) Harwood and Melissa (Matt) Stippich; four grandchildren: Emily Harwood, Megan Harwood, Kaitlin Stippich, and Benjamin Stippich; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Pauline Nohr; and four siblings: Betty Patterson, Lucille Caves, Doris Nohr, and Raymond Nohr.
A Funeral Service will be on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wild Rose United Methodist Church, 225 Summit Street, Wild Rose, WI 54984. Pastor Micah Schlobohm will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the church. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
