Howen, Glenn

Glenn W. Howen, 81 from Wisconsin Dells, formerly of Amherst and Chilton, passed away peacefully at Azura Memory Care Center in Oshkosh on January 11, 2023.

Glenn was born on November 20, 1941 in Milwaukee, WI. Son of the late Irving and Mabel (Abrahamson) Howen. Graduated from Amherst High School in 1960. Glenn served in the army in Germany for 4 yrs. After returning to the states he worked at several places throughout his life. On December 6, 1995 he married Patti (Hansen) in Chilton. Glenn had a very strong relationship with his Lord and read his Bible faithfully. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family, watching wrestling and westerns on TV.


 Glenn is survived by wife, Patti, Wisconsin Dells and step-son, Eric Hoople, Appleton.


Further survivors include, 2 sisters,Yvonne Rasmussen, Amherst, Anna Radichel, Fremont. Sister-in-law, Pam Kiern, Wisconsin Dells and brother-in-law, Donnie Hansen, Grand Marsh. Nieces and nephews, Peter (Jen) Rasmussen, Eric Rasmussen, Amy (Mark) Lins, Barbara Radichel, Jill (Jason) Maggio, Laura (Jon) Radichel-Wills, Peighton and Pegan Kiern and other relatives and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law, Phillip Rasmussen, Roger Radichel, Dale Hansen, and Bob Kiern.


 Private services for the family will be held at a later date.


 The family wishes to thank the staff at Azura Memory Care Center for their care for Glenn. The Generations Hospice team and Pastor Jon Radichel-Wills for their visits during his final days.
