James G. “Jim” Iaffaldano, age 63 of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of New London, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on November 3, 2023.

Jim was born on February 21, 1960 in Chicago, IL to the late Don and Rosemary (DiJulio) Iaffaldano. Jim grew up in Philadelphia, where some of his best childhood memories included yearly vacations to the Jersey Shore. He loved the ocean! The family did a short stint in Detroit before settling in New London in 1977. Jim graduated in 1978. Shortly after graduating, Jim started his lifelong career in the meat industry, culminating at Tyson in Omaha as Night Operations Superintendent. He had a gift of managing people, his leadership fairness, openness and fun-loving nature proved to be highly successful in his career. Jim was a die hard Led Head all of his days. The greatest highlight of his life was at the Led Zepplin show in Ames, Iowa on October 12, 1995. He and three of his friends were attending with nose bleed seats. Jim won two seats in the front row and told Cindy that his life was complete, as he had Jimmy Page’s sweat on him. Jim was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was always teasing and up to some shenanigans, but on the other hand gave the best advice. He had just celebrated 41 years of sobriety in August and lived a life of gratitude for his sobriety always encouraging others to get on board.

James is survived by his wife, Cindy of 42 years; son, Mike (Kelly) Iaffaldano and their children, Tony and Allison; daughter, Amy Iaffaldano and her children, Jayden (Grant) Roland, Emerik Handschke and Spencer Handschke; his siblings, Marty Iaffaldano, Paul (Patricia) Iaffaldano and their children, Paige (Matt) Sloan and Halle, Blair (Jade) Iaffaldano (Charlie): John (Kirsten) Iaffaldano and their children, Heather (Alex) and their children, Evelyn, William, Quinn, Marin, Amelia: Mary Rose (Joel), Adeline, August and Charlotte and Alicia (Theodore) Dominic: Diane (John) Buyse and their children, John, Elizabeth (Austin) Eden, Emily (Adam), Avery and Ben; father-in-law, Lloyd Stern; brothers-in-law, Peter (Ruth) Stern and their children, Sarah (Jesse), Grant, Christina (Ben), Teddy, Evey and Emmet, Rev.
