Arrowood, Edith R.

Edith R. Arrowood, age 82 of New London, formerly of Pella, passed away Friday morning December 1, 2023 at St. Joseph Residence in New London.

Edith was born on February 22, 1941 in Eau Claire as the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Richardson) McDonell. As a child she moved with her family to Milwaukee where she was later united in marriage to Clifford Arrowood on August 13, 1960. The couple moved to the Town of Pella and as a young woman, Edith started working at Marion Plywood. After a short time she earned her CNA and worked for the Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Clintonville and would later retire from Maple Lane in the Town of Belle Plaine during the mid 1990s. Edith enjoyed knitting, spending time with her grandchildren, going for breakfast and car rides with her husband Cliff, and dancing in her younger years. She became quite a fan of Tom Selleck and the Golden Girls, and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers. Edith had a soft spot for animals and doted over her dogs and cats.

Survivors include:
Her Children: David, Craig, & Timothy Arrowood, Julie (Scott) Young, Clifford Arrowood, and Rebecca Meyer.
Grandchildren: David, Jr. (Crystal) Christina, Nicholas, Melissa, Craig, Jr., Casey, Samantha, and Maddex, Ryan (Chelsea) Arrowood, Jamie (Curt) Schaefer, Misty (Casey) Zempel, Amber (Mike) Buss, Nicole (Anthony) Kelbert, Erica (Rui) Sousa, Jacob Meyer, & William (Keshana Dawson) Meyer.
Also 27 Great-Grandchildren

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford Arrowood in 2020, a daughter-in-law Becky Arrowood, and siblings Raymond, Regis, Larry, Willis, Jimmy, Patti, Mary, and Elizabeth.

A memorial gathering will take place in the spring of 2024. Edith’s family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Joseph Residence for their kindness and assistance. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family. www.eberhardtstevenson.com
