Delores Ellen Dean, age 89, a lifetime resident of New London, Wisconsin, passed away at St. Joseph Residence on Friday, December 1, 2023.
Delores was born on September 19, 1934 to the late Charles and Elsie (Scherning) Fredrick. She married Wayne Dean on April 11, 1959 and together they had five children. Delores loved to cook, going to flea markets, and polka dancing with her husband. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, and ever since she was young girl, she had a passionate love for Jesus and an unconditional love for others. She showed her commitment to Jesus by praying for other people and sending out cards.
Delores is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Wayne; three daughters, Lynn (Jerry) Oberstadt, Lori Dean, and Leala (LuDana) Dean; grandchildren, Dean Sauerhammer, Charlie Sauerhammer, Miles (Virginia) Oberstadt, Spencer (Lynsey) Oberstadt, Luke Oberstadt, Grant Oberstadt and fiancé Mickey; great grandchildren, Autumn, Lily, and Violet. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Delores was preceded in death by her daughter, Arlene (Gary) Sauerhammer; her son, Rodney Dean; two sisters, Ilene (Donald) Guerin, and Geri (Bud) Kriewaldt; and great granddaughter, Baby Dove.
The Funeral Service for Delores will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Ostrander Cemetery in the Town of Mukwa.
