Richard M. Reeves, age 72, of Waupaca, WI, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at his home.
He was born July 9, 1951 in Memphis, TN; son of Charles W. and Gladys B. (Powers) Reeves. Richard served in the U.S. AirForce from May 13, 1971 until he was honorably discharged on March 28, 1975. He married Deborah Linton on September 21, 1974 and together they raised three children, Jennifer, Anthony, and Jessica. Deborah preceded Richard in death on May 26, 2006. That following year on October 5, 2007, he married Joy Miller in Beaver Dam, WI. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his wife Joy Reeves; three children Jennifer Reeves, Anthony (Susan) Reeves, and Jessica Reeves; step-children Laura (Patrick) Stafford, Paul (Tricia) Landvatter, and Penny (Erick) Palacios; five grandchildren Austin Manney, Ryan Reeves, Jacob Reeves, Lila Reeves and Xavier Reeves; eight step-grandchildren Samantha Stafford, Jakob Stafford, Nathan Stafford, Charles Landvatter, Ezra Haas, Evelyn Haas, Josiah Haas, and Adeline Palacios; three siblings Vic (Becky) Reeves, Don (Jeanne) Reeves, and Cheryl (Mike) Bralich; an uncle Larry Reeves; two brothers-in-law Gary (Terri) Miller and Randolf (Mary) Miller; and also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Gladys Reeves; his first wife’s parents Charles and Dorothy Linton; and his first wife Deborah Reeves.
A Funeral Service for Richard will be on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at First Assembly of God Church, 1420 Berlin Street, Waupaca, WI. Reverend Cliff Cameron and Reverend Larry Gross will officiate. A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will take place on Tuesday afternoon at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Waupaca where full military honors will be performed. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
