Julie M. Ott, New London, age 95, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018.

She was born on October 8, 1922 in Bear Creek, WI to Joseph and Victoria Bricco. Married to Ralph Ott, they resided in Bear Creek and then New London. A remarkable mother and grandmother, she was a voracious reader, an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling with her sister, and authored unpublished poetry.

Julie is preceded in death by husband, Ralph Ott. She is survived by four children: Julie (Gary) Herres, New London; Joni Kowalski, Center City, MN; Jill (Mel) Behnke, Hastings, MN; Jim (Nancy) Ott, New London; grandchildren: Jamie Herres (Duane) Vandermause, Stacy Herres (John) Ruckdashel, Joey Herres (Joe) Didion, Randee Herres (Joe) Sterzinger, Kris (Michelle) Kowalski, Keri Kowalski (Chuck) Brunschon, Aaron (Heather) Ott, Andrew (Ashten Surprise) Ott;

great-grandchildren: Andrew, Devin and Drake Vandermause; Davi (Lamb), Josie, and Sydney Ruckdashel; Emily and Ben Didion; Marina and CJ Sterzinger; Parker and Meadow Ott; the Kowalski family great-grandchildren: Codey, Karter, Kade, Shey, and Joanna.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 (10:00-12:00), service (12:00) at St. Joseph’s Chapel in New London. Burial will be at the Veterans Cemetery in King. Heppner, Shirley A. “Stewie”

Shirley A. “Stewie” Heppner, age 81, of Pine River, died Monday afternoon, April 23, 2018 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.

Born on November 18, 1936, in Evanston, Illinois, the daughter of Onel and Gena (Throne) Steward, Shirley married Donald Heppner on May 18, 1957, and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2010. Growing up, Shirley ran the Heppner Food Store in Glenview, Illinois with her husband and after selling the store, they moved to Oshkosh where they purchased Edison Estates Mobil Home Park. She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church of Poy Sippi, where she enjoyed quilting for the church missions. Shirley was the State Senior Bowling Tournament Champion and National Doubles Champion in 1984. She also enjoyed golfing, painting, crafts (especially Rose mauling), playing the organ, feeding the birds, and making baby hats for the hospital. During the winter, Shirley and Don traveled to Florida in their Airstream, escaping Wisconsin cold weather. She was a member of the Sons of Norway.

Survivors include her sister, Evelyn Psenicka; two brothers-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Heppner and George Ruesch Jr.; nieces and nephews, Susan (Dan) Ziegler, Nancy (Norm) Reichenberger, Michael (Deborah) Psenicka, Douglas (Vicki) Psenicka, William Psenicka, James Ruesch, and Linda VandeMotter; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews. Preceding Shirley in death is her husband; parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elsie and Charles Heppner; her sister, Dorothy Ruesch; her brother-in-law, Stanley Psenicka; her sister-in-law, Betty Heppner; her niece, Kathryn Goetting; and a great-nephew, Ben Goetting.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in Emmaus Lutheran Church, W2185 County Road H, Poy Sippi, Wisconsin with Reverend Mark R. Meier Sr. officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Online condolences to the family may be given at www.seefeldfuneral.com. Hoier, Rose J.

Rose Josephine (Young) Hoier, age 82, of Hortonville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at AMC with her family by her side.

She was born on March 23, 1936 in Maple Creek. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Lucille Young. Growing up Rose worked on her family farm and also babysat many children. On May 10, 1958 she married Gerald Hoier at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bear Creek. Together they had six children whom they raised on their family farm. After their children grew up she continued to care for her grandchildren and other individual’s children up until the past few years. She loved visitation time with family and friends, playing Yahtzee with anyone willing to join, playing cards with her husband before he passed this recent August, and enjoyed snowmobiling with her husband where they were charter members of the Polar Bear Riders Snowmobile Club. Gerald and Rose were a part of the Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church community.

Rose is survived by her children: Donna (Gary) Weiland, Donald (Bonnie) Hoier, Dan Hoier, Gerald Jr. (special friend Tracy) Hoier, Sue (Bob) Quella, Beth (Rob Stiles) Hoier; 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, Roland (Barb) Young and sister Karen Dorow; sisters-in-law, Ruth Young, Jeannie Hoier, and brother-in-law Ronald (Geri) Hoier; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald; her parents; father and mother-in-law, Raymond and Marion Hoier; brothers and sisters-in-law: Edwin, John, Eugene (Joyce), Robert, Leo (Nancy), Raymond (June) Hoier, Eldren Young and Carol (Ken) Wynboom; granddaughter Jennifer Rose Hoier; nieces and nephews: Kathy, Rodney, Mike and Jack Hoier and Terry and Marty Young.

The Funeral Mass for Rose will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville. Visitation will be held at the Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church on Friday, April 27th from 4-7 p.m. and also at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Rose’s family would like to give special thanks to the Hortonville Police Department, the First Responders on scene and the Gold Cross Ambulance, all of the staff at AMC, Parish Director Greg Layton with the Ss. Chapin, Shirley M.

Shirley M. (Jartz) Chapin, 85, of Auburn, MA passed away peacefully on Monday, April 16, 2018 with her husband and children by her side at the Jewish Healthcare Center in Worcester, MA, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Shirley was born in Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia Jartz of Clintonville, WI. She was valedictorian of her class at Clintonville High School and graduated with a degree in Education from the University of Minnesota. She met her husband, Robert, at her best friend’s wedding and married in 1959. Shirley joined the work force as an elementary school teacher and enjoyed educating children for several years before she and her husband started a family. At that time, Shirley became a full-time mom and was a devoted caretaker of her family and home. Shirley played an active presence in her children’s lives as a CCD teacher at North American Martyr’s church, a softball coach and a leader of the Camp Fire Girls. When her children were grown, she returned to teaching, becoming a substitute teacher in the Auburn school system for many years. As a woman of faith, Shirley was a member of North American Martyr’s church and played many active roles there. She had a summer home on Cape Cod and spent several weeks every winter in Clearwater, Florida. Shirley was an avid sports fan. She and her husband were season ticket holders of the New England Patriots for years but her first devotion was to Red Sox Nation. She enjoyed baking, gardening and going to beaches on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Chapin; two daughters, Nancy Chapin and Jean Marie Reheuser, and her fiancé, James Wheeler; a son, John Chapin; one grandchild, Alexa Marie Reheuser; a brother, Robert Jartz and his wife, Mary Lynn from Wisconsin; a sister, Theresa Petersen from Colorado and a brother, John Jartz and his wife Kathy Reno from Florida.

Relatives and friends visited with Shirley’s family on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral Mass for Shirley followed, celebrated at 12 noon at North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial is in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Olson, Adalia T.

Adalia T. Olson, age 89 of Clintonville, passed away Tuesday evening, April 24, 2018 at the ThedaCare Medical Center in Shawano.

Adalia was born on December 21, 1928 in the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County as the daughter of the late Otto and Christabel (Volz) Ponzer. She was baptized on February 3, 1929 at St. John Lutheran Church in Deer Creek where she was also confirmed on June 7, 1942. Her confirmation verse was 1 Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight of faith – lay hold on eternal life.” Adalia graduated as a member of the Clintonville High School’s Class of 1946 and later graduated from the Accredited School of Cosmetology, Green Bay, in February of 1947. Adalia was united in marriage to Dale Olson on February 4, 1948 at her home church in Deer Creek. The couple had six sons and later divorced prior to Dale’s death in 1979. Adalia worked for and managed Vanity Faire Salon in Clintonville for 16 years before starting her own shop in 1982, retiring in 2002. She was a current member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville and served her community as a member and past president of the VFW Post #664 Auxiliary in town for over 14 years. Adalia loved playing cards with her friends and family, doing fancy work, as well as canning and freezing goodies for her family.

Survivors include: her sons, Doug (Connie) Olson, St. Germain and Dick (Bonnie) Olson, Clintonville; grandchildren: Chad (Shelly) Olson, Kari (Greg) Maines, Kyle (Sheila) Olson, Andrea (Nate) Michonski, Abbey Olson, Austin (Brianna) Olson, Adler “A.J.” Olson, Tracy (David Bucki, Jr.) Sirna and Travis (Dani) Olson; great-grandchildren: Alex, Joe, Gabby, Ticeon, Hunter, Christie, Aiden, Brady, Tanner, Carter, Ava, Grayson, Graham, Hugh, Aubrey, Lexi, Bentley, Eleanor, and Bailey. Also a special person in her life, Moni (Duane) Jarvis. Adalia was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband Dale, and sons Dirk, Darrell, Duane “Duke”, and Daniel Olson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 (on her late son Darrell’s birthday) at 11 a.m. at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg and Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. James A. Bauer, age 62 of Waupaca, passed away at home on Friday, April 20, 2018.

Jim is survived by his children, Maxwell and Rebecca; his grandson, Aiden; his mother Pat, as well as brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Jim, who greeted everyone with a smile and a big hello, always enjoyed a good book, a good laugh or playing backgammon with friends.

Kim E. Knutson, 62, of Scandinavia, WI, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her home.

Kim was born in Port Hueneme, California on December 27, 1955, a daughter of the late Betty (McVay) and Richard Kirkman. She married Eugene L. Knutson on April 19, 1987 in Las Vegas. Kim was an excellent cook. She enjoyed her pets. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing, making blankets and dog beds for her friends.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene; sister, Denise Prince; brother, Randy Kirkman; niece and nephews: Katie, Ryan, David, and Cody; sister-in law, Sandy (Dave) Marcy and a brother-in-law, Dale (Shirley) Knutson. Kim is further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Sylvia Darlene Robison, passed away suddenly, the result of an automobile accident, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. She was born the third of nine children to Ernest and Emily (Drew) Duvall, on June 18, 1935, in the Township of Enterprise, Oneida County, WI.

Sylvia graduated from Rhinelander High School. She married Wilbur Robison on August 7, 1954, and they were together 62 years and had three daughters. Sylvia lived a full and busy life devoted to many things. Moving from Enterprise to Poplar Grove, IL, she raised her three daughters, and was a business owner upholstering furniture, and even finding time to teach an evening class to pass this trade along to those who wanted to learn. As a UAW member, she lobbied for laws and attended Democratic National Conventions, campaigning for Paul Simon, and drove Geraldine Ferraro’s car in a parade. She was a big advocate for women’s rights and the Equal Rights Amendment. She was president of Music Boosters for North Boone High. She retired from Devilieg-Sundstrand after 20 years. She was passionate about many things in her life, with the Democratic Party being one which she was so proud of. This was always the top of her agenda, even after retiring to Pelican Lake, WI, where she was also active with the Women’s Civic Club and was in things like fashion show and modeling. While being a snowbird in Hernando, FL, she was in the Apache Shored Women’s Group and was in a Kitchen band. Finally upon moving to Weyauwega, WI, she was continually involved with the Waupaca County Democrats, Red Hatters and TOPS.

Her daughters survive her: Mary Ann Robison-Kaeding (fiancé Bart Maddrell), of Janesville; Diann (Fred) Pribbernow, and Doris Robison of Weyauwega. She is further survived by a granddaughter, Kelly Bensing, of New London, WI; brothers: Willie Duvall of Nashville, TN, and Fred (Susan) Duvall of Diamond, OH; sister, Bernice Matz, of Lakeland, WI; sisters-in-law: Joyce Helser, Shirley Robison, Virginia Bergman, and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur; her parents; brother, Herbie Duvall; sisters: Lucy Fosterling, Florence Richard, Joyce Duvall, and Marilynn Rumpee; brothers-in-law: Leon Robison, Laverne Bergman, Rudy Helsner.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 19, 2018, at 11:00 a.m at Enterprise Town Hall, Pelican Lake, WI with burial at Enterprise Cemetery. The Cline Hanson Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega is serving the family.

Berg, Rita A.

Rita A. Berg, 78, of New London died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at UW Madison Hospital.

Rita was born on August 1, 1939. She grew up in Coleman, WI and graduated in 1957. She moved to Milwaukee where she was employed at Master Lock. She met Tom Berg in Milwaukee in the apartment building where they both lived. They were married on August 27, 1960 and moved to New London in 1965. Rita worked at New London schools in food service for many years. She loved to bowl, travel, and do yard work. She bowled for over 45 years. She took many bus trips and has been in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. She also took many family vacations all over the states. The family favorite was Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She loved her travels spending time with her closest friends, Ila Mae, Judy and Donna. Rita also enjoyed playing cards with her sisters once a month. She enjoyed having the whole family over for holidays and baking the best cookies ever. In her free time she also made beautiful cross stitch pictures.

Rita is survived by her four children: Glenn (Songie) Berg, Monte (Laurie) Berg, Corey (Julie) Berg, Becki (Dave) Roberts; grandchildren: Kylee, Trevor, Tanner, Mindy, Mandy and Fara; great-grandchildren: Noah, (one on the way), Brittany, Bailey, Nevaeh, Reed, Silas, Tabitha, Uriah, Elliana, Gracelyn, Ezekiel, and Malachi; three sisters, Kay (Pete) Lamensky, Fay (Dan) Smith, Judy (Bob) Henning. She is further survived by three brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law and many nieces, nephews, and special family friends, Chris Lichtenberg and Steve Drum. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alphonse and Helen Durocher; her husband Tom; two brothers, Roger and Gerald Durocher, four sisters-in-law and four brothers in-law.

Rita was a devout Catholic at Most Precious Blood Parish. She had a big heart and was a fun loving person. All it took to make her day was hearing a Neil Diamond song on the radio. She will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.

The Funeral Mass for Rita will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in the Most Precious Blood Cemetery, New London. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Cline & Hanson Funeral home and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Queckboerner, Doris

Doris M. Queckboerner, 88, of Waupaca, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Park Vista-Legacy in Waupaca.

Doris was born on June 11, 1929 in Freeport, IL to Osa and Marjorie (Smith) Mosier. She was born and raised in Freeport, IL and graduated from Freeport High School. On May 15, 1949, she joined Everett Queckboerner in marriage. Doris suffered from many health issues throughout the course of her life but never let it break her spirit. She had a love for animals and a special place in her heart for small dogs.

Doris is survived by her husband, Everett Queckboerner and a brother, George Mosier. She is preceded in death by a newborn baby, Roger Steven Queckboerner, who passed away while Everett was serving in the Korean War.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Nepeuskun Cemetery near Berlin, WI on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. The family and all who would like to go in procession to the cemetery may meet at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca Thursday morning no later than 10 a.m. Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family. Robert B. Dahms, age 86, a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018.

He was born November 26, 1931 in Plover, WI to the late Bernard and Evelyn (Plante) Dahms. Robert attended schools in Portage County before entering the U.S. Navy. He was previously married to Judith Hancock; they resided in Custer where they raised 10 children. Robert worked as a mechanic, both at home and various businesses throughout his lifetime. In Robert’s early years, he loved riding motorcycle and racing at Golden Sands, riding his four-wheeler or even the tractor, thus his need to always drive fast. Robert loved to farm and run the Custer farm with his children. He gained many lifelong friends through his mechanic jobs and farming operation.

Survivors include his children: David (Linda) of Custer; Harry (Connie) of Custer, Bruce (Renae) of Custer, Jason (Heather) of Custer, Robert (Dari) of Bancroft; Sandy (Jeff) Uhl of Amherst, Marie (Bill) Looney of AR, Annette (Dale) Kurszewski of Custer, Jorja (Jody) Zoromski of Custer and Peggy (Andrew) Dean of Stevens Point; brother, John (Marilyn) of Madison; sisters, Anita (Fred) Kolanowski of New Berlin and June (David) Bonsack of IL; and special friend, Mary Minton of Waupaca. He is further survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; Judith Hancock and grandchildren, Peter, Ryan and Brandon.

Robert’s family thanks the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for the care and loving attention they devoted to him, particularly Olson Hall 4th floor, Penny, Jody, Paul, Mary and all the staff. A special thank you to the medical staff at ThedaCare of Appleton and to Heartland Hospice, as they tenderly cared for Robert in his final days.

Per Robert’s wishes, no visitation will be held. A service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. The Maple Crest Funeral Home is assisting the family with this veteran.

Ruiz, Peter V. II

Peter V. Ruiz II of Waupaca, age 66, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018.

He was born in Waterloo, IA on October 20, 1951 to Peter and Verona (Smith) Ruiz. On January 10, 1970 he married Sandra Warner. Peter and his wife were members and ministers as Jehovah Witnesses. Peter symbolized his dedication to Jehovah God by his baptism as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at age 15. He got his first job at age 17 at Morris Print Shop in Waterloo, IA and continued in the printing business through age 55. Peter will be remembered for his love of auctions and the way he could pull pranks with a straight face.

Peter is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandy; children: Perry (Lisa) Ruiz, Carmen (Jody) Johnson, Brenna (Ryan) Topping; grandchildren: Jacob, Mason, Shya, Milana, Tristin and Azalya; father, Peter Ruiz; siblings: Cathy (Vince) Miller, Tim (Cathy) Ruiz, Tina Sebetka and Andrew Ruiz, whom all called their brother Sonny; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Verona Ruiz.

Grove, Marie Rose (Davis)

Marie Rose (Davis) Grove, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Theda Care Medical Center in Waupaca.

She was born the daughter of the late Gordon and Annabelle Davis on July 26, 1936 in Almond. She married Alton Grove on February 15, 1956. After raising her seven children, she enjoyed going with her husband to visit family and friends. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, needlework and watching black and white television shows.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Kathy) Grove, Allen Grove; and her daughters: Kathy (Jeff) Dumbleton, Amber McCoy, Cindy Danke, Mona (Richard) Elandt, and Mille Grove; her brother, Don Davis; and sisters: Marcella (Tom) Kelly, Monica (Bill) Samson, Marleen (David) Ross, Marceeda Stilp and Matilda Hall. She is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers: Dwight Davis, David Davis, Delwin Davis, and brother-in-law, John Stilp; sisters: Maureen Davis, Martha (Davis) Bunnell, and Margelene (Davis) McGowan.

Special thanks to the staff at Whistling Pines and ThedaCare Hospital for all the kindness and compassion they showed.

Seis, Frank Jr.

Frank Seis Jr. of Waupaca, formerly of Racine, age 70 passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, April 19, 2018, surrounded by his family.

He now rests with his father, Frank Sr. and beloved dog, Winston. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marjorie; mother, Julia Ann; brother, Steve (Debbie); daughters, Madelyn and Mara Beth; step-children: Barbara, Karl, Stephen and Scott, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Frank enjoyed a long career at S.C. Johnson Wax in Racine, retiring after 38 years as a product manager. In retirement he also filled several roles at Foxfire Golf Course, including manager, and held the office of President of the Covered Bridge of Waupaca Association. A classic car enthusiast, Frank was a proud member of several car clubs, including the Valley Vettes Corvette Club and the Nickle A Region – Model A Ford Club. He was also an avid golfer and Packer Fan.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. An obituary with the date and time will run in the future. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

Edwards, Eldora E.

Eldora E. Edwards, age 99 of Waupaca passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.

Eldora was born on November 23, 1918 in the Town of Little Wolf, Waupaca Co., WI; daughter of Albert and Mathilda (Krause) Hoppe. She married Aubrey J. Edwards on November 7, 1936 in Waupaca and they shared 69 years of marriage before his passing on April 26, 2006. Eldora and Aubrey farmed on the banks of Walla Walla Creek in the Town of Lind and also in the Town of Waupaca for many years. They enjoyed polka dancing around the state and Eldora was an avid card player in her later years. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca.

Eldora will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends. Eldora is survived by her sons, Gene (Gretchen) Edwards of Lodi, WI and David (Karen) Edwards of Menasha, WI; her grandchildren: Julia (John Gordon) Edwards of Lodi, WI; G. Scott Edwards of Appleton, WI; Jill (Lionel) Susini of Lexington, KY; Jeff (Debbie) Edwards of Mount Pleasant, WI; Todd Edwards of St. Croix Falls, WI; Kelly (Diana) Moore of Sun Prairie, WI and Sheri (Joel) Wiersma of Beaver Dam, WI and 14 great-grandchildren. Eldora is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mathilda Hoppe; her husband, Aubrey Edwards; an infant sister, Helen Hoppe; and four brothers, Leo, Louis, Harley, and Edwin Hoppe.

The Funeral Service will be on Friday, May 4 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI with Reverend Ronald Siemers officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Little Creek Cemetery in the Town of Little Wolf. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in the name of Eldora E. Edwards. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

Pingel, Daniel D. Jr.

Daniel D. Pingel Jr., age 30 of the Town of Larrabee, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Froedert Hospital, Wauwatosa.

Daniel Dilton Pingel Jr. was born August 10, 1987 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton, the son of Daniel Sr. and Donna (Wollenberg) Pingel. He attended Clintonville Schools, played saxophone in the high school band, and graduated with the class of 2005. Daniel worked for Lamers Bus Garage and Fleet Farm both in Clintonville for about two years; he also attended Fox Valley Technical College earning his diesel certification. He was later employed by Wisconsin Tractor Parts, Black Creek, working in shipping and parts, as well as Sturm Foods, Manawa for a time. Dan ran a front-wheel, non-studded car with Mid-State Ice Racing out of Marion for a few seasons, and loved to tinker on anything with a motor. He also helped out driving tractor for Kratzke farms when he could. Daniel loved to hunt and fish for bullhead with his brothers. He also liked to watch cooking shows so he could get pointers on how to better his grilling skills; something he did often during Packer games. Daniel will be remembered as a caring, kind-hearted, good listener, who would always be willing to help friends and family.

Survivors include: parents, Daniel Sr. and Donna Pingel, Clintonville; paternal grandmother, Leah Lehman, Tigerton; brothers, Adam (Nichelle) Pingel, Clintonville and Taylor Pingel, Clintonville; nephews, Bear and Holland Pingel and girlfriend, Nicole Hill, Clintonville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dilton Pingel; maternal grandparents, Martin (Leila) Wollenberg; and step-grandfather, Herbert Lehman.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will take place at Roseland Cemetery, Town of Dupont following the service. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Joseph A. Hales, age 49, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Theda Care Medical Center-Waupaca.

He was born in Waupaca, on August 6, 1968, the son of Timothy J. and Carla J. (Petersen) Hales. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four-wheeling and spending time up north at the cabin. He liked to spend time with his many friends golfing, shooting pool, throwing darts and horseshoes, bowling, playing softball or just hanging out. Joe loved his two German Short Hair Pointers, BB and TJ; they would often play fetch or go for a run at the dog park.

Survivors include his daughter, Natasha Hales, Waupaca, WI; parents, Timothy and Carla Hales, Waupaca, WI; sister, Jacci Houtman, Ogdensburg, WI; nephews, Cody (Sarah) Houtman, Superior, WI and Joshua Houtman, Ogdensburg, WI. He was preceded in death by a son – Reuben Hales; maternal grandparents – Pershing and Gladys Petersen, and paternal grandparents – Clifford and Rose Hales.

A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Rustic Woods Campground, E2585 Southwood Drive, Waupaca, from 4 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

Seeton, Betty A.

Betty A. Seeton, age 88, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Claridge House, Kenosha.

She was born in Waupaca, WI, July 13, 1929, daughter of the late William and Lillian (nee: Paronto) Redmann. On June 22, 1954 in San Diego, CA, she was united in marriage to Raymond T. Seeton who preceded her in death, December 22, 2004. Betty was employed by Racine Unified School District as a school bus driver for sixteen years. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. More than anything she devoted and cherished time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her eight children: Marla (Steven) Crotteau, Clifton (Ruby) Seeton, all of Racine; Debra (Pete) Blake of Pittsburgh, PA; Sandra (Bruce) Knorr of Racine; Michael Seeton of Phoenix, AZ; Thomas (Susan) Seeton of Reeseville, WI; Catherine Seeton of Racine; Julia Seeton of Fort Wayne, IN; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Beverly Barkdull; brother, William Redmann; and sisters, Bernice Van Cuyk and Dorothy Schlinkert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1533 Erie Street, Racine on Wednesday May 9, 2018, 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m.
