Lorraine L. Lund of Waupaca, age 89, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021.
She was born in Milwaukee to the late John and Mary (Pradarelli) Basso. Lorraine was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. After many years of service, Lorraine retired from the billing department at Thedacare. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed visiting friends weekly at the Waupaca Senior Center, along with giving time to the community by volunteering for the blood bank and food pantry. Lorraine also enjoyed knitting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Tim) Orr; son, Jeff (Angie) Lund; brother, Chuck (Pat) Basso; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Lund.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery following the visitation. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for memorials to the American Heart Association.
