At 67 years old Merle (Duke) Manteufel passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau.
Duke was preceeded in death by his (Father) Raymond Manteufel (Mother) Amber and (Brother) Neil. Duke is survived by his (Daughter) Melissa Miller (Scott) (Brother) Wayne(Red)Manteufel (Sister) Diane Ayres and (Nephew) Jason Ayres and Dukes best friend and partner of 10 years Linda Kubczak and so many friends as well.
Duke worked for Michels Co. driving dump truck. Duke liked the company he worked for but even more he liked and appreciated all his fellow workers, they made his day. In fact after winter layoff Duke planned on going back to work instead of retiring.
To My Partner: My Dear Duke (Honey Bunny) Thank You for our wonderful 10 years not long enough. Thank You for just being you. and all the things you did for me. you will forever be in my heart I’ll miss you everyday. Thanks for all the fun days and nights. I’m glad you were part of my family they all love you so much. I’ll miss all your notes. I Love you Duke. your little girl now and forever. Linda
Thank you so much to Aspirus ICU workers and Hospice care your kindness and compassion was very comforting. A big thank you to his day nurse Lindsey you were awesome. Duke will be missed everyday.
